Dry using clean cloths.TESTING, AND REPAIRInspect switch (3) wires and wiring harnesscracked or broken insulation or broken wireterminal (2) wires forstrands at connection to ter-minal. Repair cracked or broken insulation by applying insulation tape toarea. If broken wire strands are seen, cut wire as close to terminal aspossible. Strip 1/4 inch insulation from end of wire taking care not tocut through wire then crimp new terminal securely onto wire.Inspect clutch pressure switch (3) for cracks, breaks, damaged threads, distortion, or other damage. Connect multimeter between switch terminals(1) and check for continuity. If continuity is not obtained or any of theabove conditions are seen, replace clutch pressure switch.Inspect fuseholder (4) for cracks, breaks, distortion, or other damage.Replace fuseholder by cutting wires as close to fuseholder halves as pos-s i b l e, stripping 1/4 inch insulation from end of wires, then splicing newfuseholder wires to existing wires using insulated crimp connectors .Inspect resistor (5) for cracks, breaks, and discoloration due to over-heating. Connect multimeter between ends of resistor. Multimeter shouldindicate 36 to 44 ohms. Replace resistor if any of the above conditionsare observed or if proper multimeter indication is not obtained .Inspect remaining parts for cracks, breaks, distortion, or damagedt h r e a d s; replace as necessary.
