Route hose (6) between flowvalve and-tube (7). Connecth o s e f i t t i n g s e c u r e l y.opposite end of hose (6) tohose fitting to flow control valve;t u b e ( 7 ) . T i g h t e n t u b e ( 7 ) f i t t i n gss e c u r e l y .Connect and tighten hose (5) fitting to tee (9) installed in flow con-t r o l v a l v e . T i g h t e n h o s e f i t t i n g s e c u r e l y .Route hose (4) between right steering cylinder assembly and steeringgear. Connect and tighten hose (4) fitting to elbow (15) installed insteering gear port A. Tighten hose fitting securely.Connect and tighten fitting on other end of hose (4) to tee (20) in-s t a l l e d i n r i g h t s t e e r i n g c y l i n d e r a s s e m b l y p o r t . T i g h t e n f i t t i n g s e -c u r e l y.Route hose (3) between steering gear OUT port and flow control valve.Connect and tighten hose (3) fittings. Tighten securely.Install new 0-ring (2) on hose (1) fitting. Route hose between steeringgear and flow control valve.Connect hose (1) fitting to flow control valve and tighten securely.Connect fitting on opposite end of hose (1) to connector (11) installedin IN port of steering gear. Tighten fitting securely.Fill hydraulic reservoir with oil (page 11-79) .T i g h t e n h y d r a u l i c r e s e r v o i r f i l l c a p.Start engine and operate at idle speed.Before performing following step, warn personnel to stay away from sideso f l o a d e r b e t w e e n f r o n t a n d r e a r c h a s s i s . F a i l u r e t o d o s o w i l l c a u sedeath or serious injury to those personnel due to chassis pivoting andc r u s h i n g t h e m .I f p e r s o n n e l a r e i n j u r e d , o b t a i n m e d i c a l a s s i s t a n ceimmediately.(am) Turn steering wheel through several complete turns to bleed any air fromhydraulic system.(an) Turn off engine and check for oil leaks. Tighten fittings as necessary .(ao) Install engine left side panels (page 9-17).8-27
