( l ) I n s t a l l n e w f i l t e r , i f n e c e s s a r y ( p a g e 8 - 4 0 ).
(m) If vacuum pump is used, turn off vacuum pump, and disconnect from hy-
draulic reservoir fill cap opening. Go to step (o) below.
(n) If vacuum pump is not used, fill hydraulic reservoir with oil (page
11-79).
( o ) T i g h t e n h y d r a u l i c r e s e r v o i r f i l l c a p.
(p) Start engine and operate at idle speed.
Before performing following step, warn personnel to stay away from sides
o f l o a d e r b e t w e e n f r o n t a n d r e a r c h a s s i s . F a i l u r e t o d o s o w i l l c a u se
death or serious injury to those personnel due to chassis pivoting and
c r u s h i n g t h e m . I f p e r s o n n e l a r e i n j u r e d , o b t a i n m e d i c a l a s s i s t a n c e
immediately.
(q) Wait one minute then turn steering wheel all the way to the right then
all the way to the left to bleed any air from hydraulic system.
( r ) T u r n o f f e n g i n e a n d c h e c k f o r o i l l e a k s a t s t e e r i n g h y d r a u l i c f i l t e r,
filter head, and hose and tube connections. Tighten as necessary.
(s) Reinstall engine left side panels (page 9-17) and check hydraulic oil
level (page 11-78). Add oil as necessary.
