Insert hook end of wire in valve
lifter (13) and engage one hole in
valve lifter with wire hook. Install
valve lifter and wire in valve
lifter bore of cylinder block. Bend
wire over cylinder head to retain
valve lifter in raised position to
enable installation of camshaft.
Repeat this step to install
remaining 11 valve lifters.
Install camshaft assembly (3 thru 9)
part of the way into cylinder block.
Lubricate thrust washer (8)
using clean OE/HDO 30 engine
oil.
Lubricate all camshaft (9)
bearing surfaces and lifter
cams using clean OE/HDO 30
engine oil.
Install camshaft assembly (3
thru 9) in cylinder block,
be sure that timing marks on
drive gear (6) and crank-
shaft gear are alined.
