DISASSEMBLY (SHEET 2 OF 3)

Remove four nuts (1) and washers (2).
Hit port end cover (3) using rubber mallet
to loosen it from gear housing (9).
Remove port end cover (3) with installed
parts (4 thru 8) as an assembly from gear
housing (9).
Remove thrust plate (4) and six pocket seals
(5) from port end cover (3). Discard pocket
seals.
Remove gear housing (9) with installed parts
(10 and 11) as an assembly from bearing car-
rier (15).
Remove and discard seals (10 and 11) from gear housing (9).
NOTE
Put an identification tag on drive gear (13), driven gear (14), and
bearing carrier (15) so that gears can be installed in correct bores
during reassembly.
Remove drive gear (13) and driven gear (14).
Remove bearing carrier (15) with installed parts (16 thru 20) from gear hous-
ing (24).
Remove two thrust plates (16)
(15). Discard pocket seals.
Remove connecting shaft (21)
and 12 pocket seals (17) from bearing carrier
from drive gear (22).
Remove gear housing (24) with seals (25) and dowel pin (26) from shaft end
cover (34).
Remove and discard two seals (25) from gear housing (24).
NOTE
Put an identification tag on drive gear (22), driven gear (23), and gear
housing (24) to aid reassembly.
Remove drive gear (22) and driven gear (23).
