Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes and don’t breathevapors. Do not use near open flame or excessive heat and don’t smokewhen using it. Failure to do so could cause serious injury. If you be-come dizzy while using cleaning solvent, get fresh air and medicalattention immediately.If contact with skin or clothes is made, flushwith large amounts of water.If contact with eyes is made, wash eyeswith water and get medical aid immediately.Clean all parts using cleaning solventP-D-680. Allow to air dry. Don’t usecloths to dry parts.Measure wear caused by gear teeth in gearhousings (9 and 24) using straight edgeand thickness gage as shown. Replace agear housing if wear exceeds 0.005 inch.Measure thrust plate (4, 16, and 28)thickness using micrometer. Replace athrust plate if thickness is less than0.3718 inch.NOTEGears (13 and 14) and gears (22 and23) must be replaced as a set. Ifgears (13 and 14) are replaced,bearings (6 and 18) must also bereplaced. If gears (22 and 23) arereplaced, bearings (18 and 30) mustalso be replaced.4-270
