Clean mating surfaces using clean cloth and cleaning solvent P-D-680. Inspect wheel hub mating surface for cracks, nicks, and burrs at machined surface. If cracked, replace wheel hub (page 3-393). Remove nicks and burrs using soft stone. Apply bead of air-drying adhesive (Appendix C, item 34) to pla- netary gear spider and wheel hub mating surfaces. Install planetary gear spider (page 3-408). 2-109
