This section contains troubleshooting of malfunction information and tests
for locating and correcting most of the troubles which may develop in the MW24C
loader and are based on those malfunctions that may occur during operation of the
loader. Each malfunction or trouble symptom lists probable causes and suggested cor-
rective actions to remedy the situation.
b.
This manual cannot list all possible malfunctions that may occur or all
tests, inspections, and corrective actions. If a malfunction is not listed (except
when malfunctions and causes are obvious), or is not corrected by listed corrective
actions, notify higher level maintenance.
c.
The troubleshooting procedures list the common malfunctions that you may find
during the operation or maintenance of the MW24C loader. You should perform the
tests or inspections and corrective actions in the order listed.

MALFUNCTION

CORRECTIVE ACTION
1. ENGINE HARD TO START OR WILL NOT START (NO EXHAUST SMOKE).
NOTE
If fuel is pumped through fuel injection pump (refer to TM 5-3805-262-
20) go to step 3 below otherwise go to step 1 below.
Step 1.
At fuel injection pump, check that fuel shutoff lever is completely
opened. (Fuel shutoff lever is completely opened when it is behind
fuel injection pump.)
a. If fuel shutoff lever is not completely opened, adjust fuel
shutoff cable (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).
