TM 5-3805-262-34COOLING CIRCUIT CHECK (SHEET 1 OF 2)(1)(2)(3)(4)(5)(6)(7)(8)(9)(10)(11)Do main pressure check(page 3-318).Disconnect pressure gage hosefrom transmission control valveport.Install clutch pressure switchin control valve port (refer toTM 5-3805-262-20);Remove converter temperaturesending unit (refer to TM5-3805-262-20).Connect pressure gage hose totransmission port from whichconverter temperature sendingunit was removed. Be surepressure gage hose is longenough so that you can readgage from operators seat incab.Start engine and operate atidle speed. If CONV TEMP gagepointer is not approximately1/2 inch from bottom of gage,go to step (7) below otherwisego to step (11) below.Be sure parking brake valve knob is pushed in. Press brake treadle andvalve and move transmission control lever to H position.Increase engine speed toSet transmission controlspeed for ten seconds.Repeat steps (7) throughfull throttle and hold for 30 seconds.lever to N position and operate engine at idle(9) above until CONV TEMP gage needle isapproximately 1/2 inch from bottom of gage.Increase engine speed to full throttle.Be sure transmission control le-ver is in N position. Pressure gage should indicate 40 psi.3-321
