MALFUNCTION

CORRECTIVE ACTION
1. FUEL INJECTION PUMP NOT OPERATING PROPERLY (Cont).
NOTE
Following steps check and adjust fuel injection pump timing.
Step 4.
Mount fuel injection pump in test bench following test bench manu-
facturers instruction manual.
NOTE
Test bench used for testing fuel injection pump is NSN 4910-01-194-7667.
Other adaptable teat benches are FSCM 53867 PN EFEP 25, EFEP 5, or EF
8500. Rotation of fuel injection pump camshaft for following bench
testing shall be counterclockwise as seen from drive end of fuel
injection pump. Test oil must be SAE J967 at a temperature of 105 +9
degrees F. Nozzle opening pressure at 2540 psi and fuel feed pressure at
21.8 psi.
