TM 5-3805-262-34 REASSEMBLY (SHEET 1 OF 3) a. b. c. d. e. f. g. h. i. j. k. 1. Install new bushing (13) in gland (14). Install new seal (10) in gland (14). Install new seal (11) in gland (14), lips toward small end of gland. Install wiper (12) in gland (14), lips toward large end of gland. Install backup ring (9) on gland (14). If backup ring is not flat on both sides, position side that is not flat at small end of gland. Install new O-ring (8) in gland (14) groove, next to backup ring (9) and toward small end of gland. Put rod (15) eye in vise and support stand under rod near end of rod. Put cloths between rod and support stand to prevent damaging rod. Put clean lubricating oil on rod (15), seals (10 and 11), wiper (12), bushing (13), and bore of gland (14). Install gland (14) on rod (15) using rubber mallet if necessary. Separate new packing assemblies (6). Put clean lubricating oil on all parts of new packing assemblies. Install parts of one packing assembly (6) on smaller bore piston (5) as shown. Install parts of other packing assembly (6) on larger bore piston (4) as shown. 3-741
