Raise clam assembly justto put wood blocks under clam assembly as shown.b. If removed, install new wear plate (14) as follows:(1) Use a grinder to remove any welds or extra metal on clam assembly (11)that will prevent new wear plate (14) from fitting correctly.(2)Position wear plate and use four C-clamps to hold wear plate in position.(3) Refer to following illustration forwelding rod.weld specifications.
