BATTERY DISCONNECT SWITCH REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

REMOVAL
1.
Remove key (1) from battery disconnect switch (2).
2.
Remove two nuts (3) and lockwashers (4) from battery disconnect switch (2). Discard lockwashers.
3.
Disconnect two battery cables (5) from battery disconnect switch (2) and position aside.
4.
Remove nut (6), lockwasher (7), battery disconnect switch (2), and lockwasher (8) from machine. Discard lockwashers.

INSTALLATION
1.
Install battery disconnect switch (2), new lockwashers (7 and 8), and nut (6) on machine.
2.
Connect two battery cables (5) to battery disconnect switch (2).
3.
Install two new lockwashers (4) and nuts (3) on battery disconnect switch (2).
4.
Connect battery cables to batteries (WP 0077 00).
5.
Start engine to verify correct operation of battery disconnect switch (TM 5-3805-290-10).
