BRAKE PEDALS AND STOPLAMP SWITCH REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

STOPLAMP SWITCH REMOVAL
1.
Disconnect wiring harness (16) from stoplamp switch (17).
2.
Remove nut (18), washer (19), and stoplamp switch (17) from slide plate (22).
STOPLAMP SWITCH INSTALLATION
1.
Loosely install stoplamp switch (17), washer (19), and nut (18).
2.
Connect wiring harness (16) to stoplamp switch (17).
STOPLAMP SWITCH ADJUSTMENT
1.
Loosen two bolts (21).
2.
Slide plate (22) to adjust stoplamp switch (17). Adjust stoplamp switch so 0.1575 in. (4 mm) of pedal travel is required
to actuate switch.
3.
Tighten two bolts (21).
4.
Verify correct operation of brake pedals and switches (TM 5-3805-290-10).
