C AU T I O N
Wipe area clean around all connections to be opened during removal. Cap lines and hoses and plug open-
ings after removing hydraulic lines. Contamination of hydraulic system could result in premature failure.
N OT E
The following procedure is for the left steering cylinder. The procedure for the right is identical.
Tag hydraulic hoses to ensure correct installation.
Use a container to catch any hydraulic oil that may drain from hoses or system. Dispose of fluid IAW local pol-
icy and ordinances. Ensure all spills are cleaned up.
Steering should be fully articulated in the opposite direction of cylinder removed.
REMOVAL
1.
At left side of transmission (1), disconnect hose (2) from T (3) of secondary steering relief valve (4).
2.
Remove and discard O-ring (5).
3.
Disconnect hose (6) from T (3).
4.
Remove and discard O-ring (7).
5.
Disconnect hose (8) from adapter (9).
6.
Remove and discard O-ring (10).
7.
Remove bolt (11), washer (12), and secondary steering relief valve (4) from transmission (1).
8.
Remove adapter (9) from machine and set aside.
9.
Remove and discard O-ring (13).
N OT E
Note position of T for installation.
10.
Remove T (3) and adapter (14) and set aside for re-use.
11.
Remove and discard two O-rings (15).
