STEERING CYLINDERS REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

Apply a thin coat of clean oil to all O-rings before installation.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install new O-ring (18) and T (9) on steering cylinder (4).
2.
Install new O-ring (17) and elbow (16) on steering cylinder (4).
3.
Attach lifting equipment to steering cylinder (4).
WARN I N G
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use assistance during pro-
cedure. Ensure any lifting equipment used is in good condition and of suitable load capacity. Keep clear of
heavy parts supported only by lifting equipment. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury or
death to personnel.
N OT E
Steering cylinder weighs 60 lb (27 kg).
4.
With assistance, position steering cylinder (4) on machine.
N OT E
Install appropriate number of thrust washers to fill gap between cylinder eye and frame.
5.
Install thrust washers (15) into each end of steering
cylinder (4).
6.
Install pin assemblies (12 and 14) into each end of
steering cylinder (4).
7.
Install new retaining ring (13) on pin (14).
8.
Install washer (11) and bolt (10) on pin (12).
