ENGINE OIL BYPASS VALVE REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

REMOVAL
1.
Remove nut (1) and bolt (2) from bracket (3).
2.
Remove two bolts (4), oil suction screen and tube
assembly (5), and gasket (6). Discard gasket.
3.
Remove two socket head bolts (7) that hold tube
assembly (8) for engine oil bypass valve (9).
4.
Remove bolt (10) and tube assembly (8) from engine
oil bypass valve (9).
5.
Remove bolt (11) and engine oil bypass valve (9) from
engine.

WARN I N G
Take care when removing retaining rings. Retaining rings are under spring tension and can act as projec-
tiles when released and may result in severe eye injury to personnel.
6.
Remove retaining ring (12), seat (13), spring (14), and
plunger (15) from housing (16).
