PISTON COOLING JETS REPLACEMENT - CONTINUED

Engine crankshaft may be rotated to access all piston cooling jets. Crankshaft is shown removed for
clarity.
1.
Loosen banjo bolt (1) and remove valve assembly (2) from piston cooling jet (3). Valve assembly consists of plug (4),
spring (5), ball (6), banjo bolt, and ring (7).
2.
Remove banjo bolt (1), ring (7), and piston cooling jet (3) from cylinder block (8).
N OT E
Hollow dowel is used to locate piston cooling jet.
3.
Remove hollow dowel (9) from cylinder block (8).

4.
Repeat steps 1 thru 3 for removal of remaining piston cooling jets.
