7. Remove three bolts (Figure 2, Item 2) and lower battery compartment cover plate (Figure 2, Item 1).

8. Inspect batteries (Figure 3, Item 4), battery cables (Figure 3, Item 2), and hold-down (Figure 3, Item 3). Ensure
hold-down and cable connections are tight and batteries are clean and dry. Ensure battery equalizer (Figure 3,
Item 1) is securely mounted with no evidence of damage. If damage is found or battery service is required,
notify Field Maintenance.
