Transmission ECM detects an open circuit or low current condition in the

POSSIBLE CAUSE
Lower cab wiring harness high resistance or open.
Implement lockout solenoid faulty.
Transmission ECM.
Test Step 1. Check for Active
Diagnostic Codes.
Connect MSD. Select Transmission
Diagnostic Code 882-5 Active -
924H and check for active diagnostic
Proceed to Test Step 2.

Diagnostic Code 882-5 Not Active -
Troubleshooting is complete.
Test Step 2. Test for Faulty
Implement Lockout Solenoid.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
2. Disconnect connector C-C51
(WP 0012, Figure 91) from
hydraulic lock-out valve and
solenoid (WP 0375).
3. Install a jumper wire between
terminal 1 and terminal 2 of
connector C-C51 (WP 0012,
Figure 91).
4. Turn battery disconnect switch and
ignition switch to ON position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
5. Using MSD, check for active
Diagnostic Code 882-5 Implement
diagnostic codes (WP 0008).
Lockout Solenoid Current Below
Normal Remains Active - Proceed to
Test Step 3.
Diagnostic Code 882-6 Implement
Lockout Solenoid Current Above
Normal Becomes Active - Replace
hydraulic lock-out valve and solenoid
(WP 0375).
Proceed to Test Step 4.
Test Step 3. Test Lower Cab Wiring
Harness for High Resistance or
Open.
1. Turn ignition switch and battery
disconnect switch to OFF position
(TM 5-3805-298-10).
