826-5 Torque Converter Oil
Resistance 5.0 Ohms or Less -
(WP 0174), measure resistance
Replace lower cab wiring harness
Temperature Sensor Current
between connector P-C1
(WP 0291).
Is Below Normal - Continued
(WP 0012, Figure 53) terminal 22
Proceed to Test Step 5.
and terminal 19.
Resistance Greater Than 5.0 Ohms -
Replace transmission wiring harness
(WP 0298).
Proceed to Test Step 5.
Test Step 5. Verify Malfunction Is
Resolved.
1. Ensure all wiring harness
connectors are connected.
2. Install left engine access panel
(WP 0350).
3. Install transmission ECM cover
(WP 0266).
4. Install left and right lower cab
access panels (WP 0347).
5. Using MSD, check for active
Diagnostic Code 826-5 Torque
diagnostic codes (WP 0008).
Converter Oil Temperature Sensor
Current Is Below Normal Becomes
Inactive - Troubleshooting complete.
Diagnostic Code 826-5 Torque
Converter Oil Temperature Sensor
Current Is Below Normal Remains
Active - Repeat troubleshooting from
the beginning.
