Clean and inspect all components IAW Mechanical General Maintenance Instructions (WP 0172).

INSTALLATION

1. Install new gasket (Figure 2, Item 2) on machine.
2. Install front cover (Figure 2, Item 1) on machine.
NOTE
Install bolts in correct location as noted on removal.
Insure gasket and cover are lined up correctly before installing each bolt.
3. Install 15 bolts (Figure 2, Item 3) on front cover (Figure 2, Item 1). Hand tighten only.
4. Tighten 15 bolts (Figure 2, Item 3) on front cover (Figure 2, Item 1) to 192 lb-in (22 Nm).

FOLLOW-ON TASKS
1. Install pulley, hub, and damper (WP 0182).
2. Install water pump (WP 0233).
3. Install drive belt and tensioner (WP 0239).
4. Verify correct operation of machine (TM 5-3805-298-10).
