HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL INJECTION INLET TUBE REMOVAL CONTINUED
WARNING
Diesel fuel is combustible and an irritant. Skin and eye protection is required. Ensure work
area is well ventilated.
Keep away from open flame and other ignition sources. Failure to follow this warning may
cause injury or death to personnel.
Replace any high-pressure fuel line that is loosened or removed. The fuel system
operates under extreme pressure. High-pressure fuel lines that have been loosened and
retorqued are prone to failure. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury or death to
personnel.
CAUTION
Cap all fuel line openings along with component connections during removal to protect
against contamination. Failure to follow this caution may result in damage to equipment.
3. Loosen tube nut (Figure 3, Item 1) from fuel injection pump (Figure 3, Item 4).
4. Remove four bolts (Figure 3, Item 2) from clamps (Figure 3, Item 3).
5. Rotate clamps (Figure 3, Item 3) down.
