HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL INJECTOR TUBES REMOVAL

WARNING
Diesel fuel is combustible and an irritant. Skin and eye protection is required. Ensure work
area is well ventilated.
Keep away from open flame and other ignition sources. Failure to follow this warning may
cause injury or death to personnel.
Replace any high-pressure fuel line that is loosened or removed. The fuel system
operates under extreme pressure. High-pressure fuel lines that have been loosened and
retorqued are prone to failure. Failure to follow this warning may result in injury or death to
personnel.
1. Loosen three tube nuts (Figure 6, Item 1) from valve cover (Figure 6, Item 3).
2. Loosen three tube nuts (Figure 6, Item 6) from fuel rail (Figure 6, Item 5).
CAUTION
Cap all fuel line openings along with component connections during removal to protect
against contamination. Failure to follow this caution may result in damage to equipment.
NOTE
Note routing of fuel injector tubes for installation purposes.
3. Remove three fuel injector tubes (Figure 6, Item 2) from machine.
