CAUTION
Do not fill filter element with fuel before installing on primary fuel filter base. Fuel will not
be filtered and may contain contaminates. Contaminated fuel will result in accelerated
wear to fuel system parts and early failure of fuel system.
13. Turn new empty filter element (Figure 14, Item 1) clockwise to install on third fuel filter base (Figure 14, Item 2).
14. Tighten new filter element (Figure 14, Item 1) until seal contacts base and then tighten additional 3/4 turn to
one full turn.
15. Remove drain pan.
