TEST CONTINUED
WARNING
Dry nitrogen is the only gas approved for use in accumulator. Any other gas may cause
failure of accumulator or injury to personnel.
NOTE
There are four accumulators. Pressure of two accumulators should be 335-365 psi
(2,309-2,516kPa) and pressure of two accumulators should be 800-880 psi
(5,515-6,067 kPa).Check all four accumulators before adjusting pressure.
Location of low pressure and high pressure accumulators on valve does not matter.
8. Ensure valve handle on nitrogen chuck (Figure 6, Item 6) is closed.
9. Attach nitrogen chuck (Figure 6, Item 6) to accumulator valve (Figure 6, Item 3).
10. Ensure that needle valve (Figure 6 Item 5) is closed.
11. Open valve handle on nitrogen chuck (Figure 6, Item 6).
12. Check accumulator pressure on pressure gauge (Figure 6, Item 1). Charge pressure of two accumulators
should be 335-365 psi (2,309-2,516 kPa) and pressure of two other accumulators should be 800-880 psi
(5,515-6,067 kPa).
13. If accumulator pressure is not within acceptable range, replace accumulator (Figure 6, Item 2).
14. Remove nitrogen chuck (Figure 6, Item 6) from accumulator valve (Figure 6, Item 3).
15. Install protective cap (Figure 6, Item 4) on accumulator valve (Figure 6, Item 3).
