WARNING
DO NOT disconnect or remove any hydraulic system hoses, tubes, or fittings unless
engine is shut down and hydraulic system pressure has been relieved. Tighten all
connections before applying pressure. Escaping hydraulic fluid under pressure can
penetrate skin.
At operating temperature, hydraulic oil is hot. Allow hydraulic oil to cool before removing
any hydraulic fitting.
Wear protective eye covering and gloves.
Lubricating/hydraulic oils used in performance of maintenance can be very slippery.
Immediately wipe up any spills.
Failure to follow these warnings may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Cap or plug hose end and fitting to protect against contamination.
Tag and mark hose and fitting and note hose routing to aid installation.
Use container to catch any fluid that may drain from hydraulic system. Dispose of fluid IAW
local policy and ordinances. Ensure all spills are cleaned up.
Both cylinders are removed in same manner. Right side shown.
1. Position drain pan to catch fluid that drains from hose (Figure 1, Item 6) or cylinder (Figure 1, Item 1).
2. Loosen tube nut (Figure 1, Item 3) and remove hose (Figure 1, Item 6) and O-ring (Figure 1, Item 2) from
bucket lift cylinder (Figure 1, Item 1). Discard O-ring.
3. Remove clamp (Figure 1, Item 5) and hose retainer (Figure 1, Item 4) from cylinder (Figure 1, Item 1).
