3. Remove two nuts (Figure 2, Item 5), lockwashers (Figure 2, Item 6), bolts (Figure 2, Item 2), spacers (Figure 2,
Item 1), and clamps (Figure 2, Item 3) from machine. Discard lockwashers.
NOTE
Tag and mark wires to aid in installation.
4. Position cap (Figure 2, Item 4) aside and remove two locknuts (Figure 2, Items 8 and 13) and disconnect wires
(Figure 2, Items 9 and 14) from fuel sending unit (Figure 2, Item 10). Discard locknuts.
WARNING
Diesel fuel is combustible and an irritant. Skin and eye protection is required. Ensure work
area is well ventilated.
Keep away from open flame and other ignition sources.
Failure to follow these warnings may result in injury or death to personnel.
5. Remove five screws (Figure 2, Item 7), fuel sending unit (Figure 2, Item 10), and gasket (Figure 2, Item 11)
from fuel tank (Figure 2, Item 12). Discard gasket.
