CHECKING NITROGEN CHARGE

1. Remove valve stem cap (Figure 4, Item 1) from ride control accumulator (Figure 4, Item 2).

2. Make sure that the oil side of the accumulator is completely discharged by doing the following:
a. Start the engine (TM 5-2420-231-10).
b. Put the ride control switch in the ON position (TM 5-2420-231-10).
c.
Lower the loader to the floor. Put the loader control lever in the FLOAT position (TM 5-2420-231-10).
d. Stop the engine. Put the key switch in the ON position (TM 5-2420-231-10).
e. Move the loader control lever in all directions to release any pressure in the hydraulic circuits. Put the
loader control lever in the FLOAT position.
f.
Leave the ride control switch and key switch in the ON position.
g. Leave the loader control lever in the FLOAT position.
