WARNING
Use extreme caution when handling heavy parts. Provide adequate support and use
assistance during procedure. Ensure any lifting device used is in good condition and of
suitable load capacity. Keep clear of heavy parts supported only by lifting device. Failure to
follow this warning may result in injury or death to personnel.
NOTE
Stabilizer cylinder weighs 93 lb (42 kg).
The procedure for stabilizer cylinder removal and replacement is identical for left-hand and
right-hand stabilizer cylinder. Right-hand stabilizer cylinder is shown in this procedure.
1. Using lifting device, install stabilizer cylinder (Figure 2, Item 1) on machine.
2. Lightly grease and install pin (Figure 2, Item 13) and two retaining rings (Figure 2, Item 1) on stabilizer cylinder
(Figure 2, Item 1).
3. LIghtly grease and install pin (Figure 2, Item 9) and two retaining rings (Figure 2, Item 8) on stabilizer cylinder
(Figure 2, Item 1).
4. Remove sling and lifting device from stabilizer cylinder (Figure 2, Item 1).
NOTE
Remove plugs and caps from hoses and fittings.
Install fitting in position and orientation as noted during removal.
5. Install new O-ring (Figure 2, Item 12) and fitting (Figure 2, Item 11) on stabilizer cylinder (Figure 2, Item 1).
6. Install new O-ring (Figure 2, Item 7) and fitting (Figure 2, Item 5) on stabilizer cylinder (Figure 2, Item 1) and
tighten nut.
7. Connect hose (Figure 2, Item 10) to fitting (Figure 2, Item 11).
8. Connect hose (Figure 2, Item 4) to fitting (Figure 2, Item 5).
9. Install resilient mount (Figure 2, Item 2) and clamp (Figure 2, Item 3) on stabilizer cylinder (Figure 2, Item 1).
