TM 5-3805-258-1027. Disconnect the bracket supporting the two air linesthat cross over the upper hitch pin. Position the hosesaway from the hitch pin area.30.28. Disconnect the electrical connectors on right side offloor plate opening.31NOTESecure bearing caps with packing tape prior toremoving from flange surface.Remove the drive shaft by removing the four boltsholding the bearing cap to the transmission outputshaft using a 3/8 in. 12-point socket with a 3/8 in.universal and 3/8 in. drive with a 5 in. Iong extension.Reinstall caps on flange. Pull drive shaft from rearframe.CAUTIONThe bottom hitch pin spacer may fall out in thenext step if there is no load on the pin.Remove bolts, retainer and shims from bottom hitchpin.29. Remove the bolts holding the two articulation cylinderpins and, using a pry bar if necessary, remove thecylinder pins.32.90CAUTIONIf pounding on hitch pin from below, do notdamage bearing in frame.Pry and/or hammer the lower hitch pin upward toremove. Use center punch in center hole of pin totap out.
