27. Disconnect the bracket supporting the two air lines
that cross over the upper hitch pin. Position the hoses
away from the hitch pin area.

28. Disconnect the electrical connectors on right side of
floor plate opening.

NOTE
Secure bearing caps with packing tape prior to
removing from flange surface.
Remove the drive shaft by removing the four bolts
holding the bearing cap to the transmission output
shaft using a 3/8 in. 12-point socket with a 3/8 in.
universal and 3/8 in. drive with a 5 in. Iong extension.
Reinstall caps on flange. Pull drive shaft from rear
frame.
CAUTION
The bottom hitch pin spacer may fall out in the
next step if there is no load on the pin.
Remove bolts, retainer and shims from bottom hitch
pin.
29. Remove the bolts holding the two articulation cylinder
pins and, using a pry bar if necessary, remove the
cylinder pins.

CAUTION
If pounding on hitch pin from below, do not
damage bearing in frame.
Pry and/or hammer the lower hitch pin upward to
remove. Use center punch in center hole of pin to
tap out.
