TM 5-3805-258-10TRANSPORTATION HINTS29.Use the screw jack to adjust theheight of the bucket until the distancefrom the center of the clevis pin to thground is a maximum of 25 inches.Thiswill permit backing the machine intoposition over the trailer.30.Start machine and back the machineinto position in front of the trailer.26.Use suitable strapping to hold buckettip cylinder link in a raised position.27.Lower screw jack slightly to releaseweight from hitch jack.31.Adjust the screw jack as needed tomove the front of the trailer until theclevis pins connecting the trailer andmachine can be installed.28.Pull the pin out of the hole in theplate, turn the jack to a horizontalposition, and push the pin back into thehole in the plate.32.Install the clevis pins and the lockpins that hold the trailer to the machine.33.Store the screw jack, base plate, handle in their proper places on thetrailer, securing them with the properhardware.34.Remove the support brace assembliesfrom the bucket cylinder mounts.Reinstall mounting hardware.35.Remove the support brace assembliesin their proper place on the trailer andsecure with proper hardware.36.Secure loose hose ends on bucket andmachine.37.Remove chocks from trailer wheels.38.The machine is now ready for airtransport makeready.70
