If pressure gage indicates 3.2 to 9 psi, use compressed airclear blockage from fuel supply hose.Disconnect pressure gage and elbow from electric fuel pump port.Reinstall elbow and fuel supply hose between elbow and fuel in-jection pump feed pump.Reinstall engine right side panels (page 9-17).b. If pressure gage does not indicate 3.2 to 9 psi, go to step 9below.Step 9.Disconnect electric fuel pump terminal from wiring harness terminal.Do this by grasping terminals with your fingers and firmly pullinga p a r t .Connect multimeter betweenwiring harness terminal andchassis ground.T e l l a s s i s t a n t t o t u r n i g n i t i o nkey switch to on position.Multimeter should indicate 24volts .T e l l a s s i s t a n t t o t u r n i g n i t i onkey switch to off position.Disconnect multimeter.a. If multimeter indicates 24 volts,reconnect electric fuel pumpterminal and wiring harness terminal. Do this by grasping ter-minals with fingers, alining, and firmly pushing together.Go to step 10 below.b. If multimeter does not indicate 24 volts, depress 5 amperecircuit breaker on right instrument panel and repeat this step.If multimeter still does not indicate 24 volts, check for opencircuit between wiring harness terminal and ignition key switch.Repair or replace wire as necessary (page 5-168 or 5-174).3-48
