a. If air bubbles are seen, replace gasket (page 4-66).
b. If air bubbles are not seen, go to step 3 below.
Step 3.
Squirt a small amount of oil on exhaust manifold in areas where ex-
haust manifold is mounted to cylinder heads. With engine idling,
check if air bubbles can be seen,
indicating gaskets are damaged.
a. If air bubbles are seen, remove exhaust manifold and replace
gaskets (page 4-7).
b. If air bubbles are not seen, go to step 4
Step 4.
Check exhaust manifold for cracks and holes.
Replace damaged exhaust manifold (page 4-7).
