DRAINING (7) ( 8) (9) TM 5-3805-262-20 ENGINE OIL (SHEET 2 OF 2) Remove engine oil level dip- stick. Add 18 quarts of engine o i l i f o i l f i l t e r i s n o t r e- placed or 20 quarts of engine o i l i f o i l f i l t e r i s r e p l a c e d ( r e f e r t o c u r r e n t l u b r i c a t i on o r d e r ) . R e i n s t a l l o i l l e v el d i p s t i c k . Start engine and check for oil leaks at drain plug and oil f i l t e r ; t i g h t e n a s n e c e s s a r y. Turn engine off and recheck engine oil level. Add oil as n e c e s s a r y . (10) Remove container from under engine oil pan and discard e n g i n e o i l.
