Replace friction-type spade and bullet terminals by cutting wire as close
to terminal as possible. Strip 1/4 inch insulation from end of wire tak-
ing care not to cut through wire then crimp new terminal securely onto
w i r e .
Replace fuseholder by cutting wires as close to fuseholder halves as pos-
sible, stripping 1/4 inch insulation from ends of wires, and splicing new
fuseholder wires to harness wires using insulated crimp connectors .
If removed,
install wiring harness clamps and new tie straps at locations
noted during removal.
Spray terminals and contacts with electrical cleaner
d r y.
Connect front wiring harness connectors as follows:
Connect block-type connectors to ignition switch,
and allow to air
b l a c k o u t l i g h t s w i r-
ing harness, and cab lower wiring harness by alining connector slots
with tabs and pushing firmly.
Connect vehicle lights switch and hydraulic control valve connectors
by alining, pushing firmly, and turning connector nut clockwise.
Push connectors onto instrument cluster pins as tagged and secure
(page 5-46).
Connect friction-type spade and bullet terminals as tagged by grasping
both terminals with fingers, alining, and firmly pushing them togeth-

Connect lug terminals as tagged and install and tighten attaching nuts
or screws .
