Connect andsolder wires to switch (11) terminals using 25 watt soldering iron.Carefully push wiring up into pedestal while at the same time pushing switch(11) up into position and inserting bat handle through hole in pedestal. Takecare not to pinch or otherwise damage any wires. Secure switch by installingand tightening nut (10).Install and tighten two screws (9), nuts (8), and washers (7).Position rear guard (6) on screws (9) then install and tighten two washers (5)and nuts (4). Don’t overtighten nuts.Install fan blade (3) on fan motor (12) shaft.I n s t a l l a n d t i g h t e n s e t s c r e w ( 2 ) .Install guard (1) on rear guard (6) by carefully spreading tabs on guard andmating slots in tabs with ears on rear guard until they snap into position.Check and ensure that wiring inside pedestal is okay by connecting multimeterbetween one terminal of defogger fan and clean metal part of fan. Multimetershould indicate a resistance larger than zero in all positions of switch (11).If zero resistance is indicated, wiring is damaged (short circuited) and fanmust be disassembled. Repeat the above for remaining terminal.10-65
