CLEANING
Dry cleaning solvent P-D-680 used to clean

vapors. Do not use near open flame or excessive heat and don't smoke
when using it. Failure to do so could cause serious injury. If you be-
come dizzy while using cleaning solvent, get fresh air and medical
attention immediately. If contact with skin or clothes is made, flush
with large amounts of water.
If contact with eyes is made, wash eyes
with water and get medical aid immediately.
Compressed air used for cleaning purposes will not exceed 30 psi. Use
only with effective chip guarding and personal protective equipment
(goggles/shield, gloves, etc). Failure to do so could cause serious
injury to eyes and possible blindness.
If you hurt your eyes or if a
foreign object is blown into your eyes, seek medical attention
immediately.

Remove all gasket material from transmission housing (13) using clean
cloth moistened with cleaning solvent P-D-680. Dry using compressed air.
Immerse transmission housing (13) in cleaning solvent P-D-680 and agitate
cleaning solvent. Let housing soak for 15 minutes. Remove housing from
bath. Dry using clean cloths. Use compressed air to clean out oil holes
and recesses in transmission housing.
Immerse suction tube (11) in cleaning solvent P-D-680 and agitate
cleaning solvent. Let suction tube soak for 15 minutes. Remove suction
tube from bath. Dry using clean cloths. Use compressed air to clear and
dry inside of suction tube.
Clean remaining parts using cleaning solvent P-D-680. Dry using clean
cloths.
INSPECTION
(1)
Inspect transmission housing (13) for cracks or other damage. Inspect
bores for scratches, wear, or grooves. Check that recesses are free of
foreign matter. If necessary, clean housing again. Replace transmission
if transmission housing requires replacement.
