Crowsfoot wrench set, 1/2 inch drive
MATERIALS/PARTS: Clean cloths (Appendix C, item 1)
Cleaning solvent P-D-680 (Appendix C, item 2)
Non-hardening sealant (Appendix C, item 10)
Lubricating oil (Appendix C, item 15)
Transmission gasket kit (FSCM 73342 PN 6838897)

NOTE
PRELIMINARY PROCEDURE: Oil strainer and drain plug and breather removed
(refer to TM 5-3805-262-20), transmission turbine driven gears and
freewheel unit removed (page 4-134),
reverse clutch and planetary group
removed (page 4-162), high range clutch and transfer gear removed (page
4-174), charging pump removed (page 3-344), and output shaft removed
(page 4-188).

Remove six capscrews (1) and lock washers (2).
Remove cover (3) and gasket
(4). Discard gasket (4).
Remove plug (5).
If necessary to remove filter
plug (6), measure and record
depth of filter plug to aid
reassembly. Then remove filter
plug.
Remove two plugs (7) and plug
(8).
Loosen nut (9).
Loosen and remove capscrew
(10).
Remove suction tube (11) with
nut (9) and seal (12) attached.
Discard seal.
