Install new seal (12) on nut
(9). Lubricate seal with lubri-
cating oil.
(2)
Insert suction end of suction
tube (11) into sump area of
transmission housing (13) and
pump end into threaded hole at
pump intake. Be sure seal (12)
is squarely seated in intake
boss. Loosely install nut (9).
(3)
Install capscrew (10) to secure
suction tube (11). Tighten cap-
screw to 36 to 43 lb-ft.
(4) Hold suction tube flush with
charging pump mounting surface
and tighten nut (9) to 120 to
150 lb-ft.
