Install and tighten two plugs (7) and plug (8).

If removed, apply non-hardening sealant to outside diameter of new filter
plug (6). Install filter plug (6) to depth recorded during disassembly.

Install and tighten plug (5).

Position new gasket (4) and cover (3) on side of transmission housing
(13).

Install six lock washers (2) and capscrews (1). Tighten capscrews (1) to
26 to 32 lb-ft.
(10) Install output shaft (page 4-192).
(11) Install charging pump (page 3-345).
(12) Install reverse clutch and planetary group (page 4-168).
(13) Install forward clutch and planetary group (page 4-158).
(14) Install high range clutch and transfer gear (page 4-186).
(15) Install transmission turbine driven gears and freewheel unit (page
4-146) .
(16) Install torque converter housing (page 4-130).
(17) Install transmission torque converter group (page 4-108).
(18) Install control valve (page 3-343).
(19) Install breather and oil strainer and drain plug (refer to TM 5-3805-
262-20).
