Ifforeign matter is present, use putty knife to remove it.Repeat steps d through f above until hydraulic reservoir (8) interior is com-pletely clean.Using scratch wire brush, remove all traces of rust or corrosion from exteriorand interior of hydraulic reservoir (8).Don’t attemptis completed.NOTEwelding hydraulic reservoir (8) until after pressure testa. Check hydraulic reservoir (8) for cracks, breaks, or other damage. If reser-voir cannot be economically repaired by welding, replace reservoir.b. Inspect hydraulic reservoir (8) for dents. If possible, remove dents usinghammer and wood backing block. Replace reservoir if dents cannot be removed.4-278
