NOTE
If engine speed in step 8 above is 2000 to 2100 rpm using number 2
Diesel fuel or 1900 to 2000 rpm using number 1 Diesel fuel, engine and
torque converter and transmission are probably okay. If engine speed is
higher, do transmission pressure tests (page 3-318). If engine speed is
less, do the hydraulic system checks and adjustments and flowmeter tests
(page 3-627).
(k) At right side of transmission, remove temperature probe from elbow. Re-
install pipe nipple and transmission oil sampling valve in elbow (refer
to TM 5-3805-262-20).
(1) Reconnect tachometer cable to tachometer drive assembly (refer to TM
5-3805-262-20).
(m) Put transport/service link in released position (refer to TM 5-3805-
262-10).
Be sure transport/service link is disengaged before driving vehicle.
Failure to do so could cause death or serious injury due to loss of
steering control.
