TOOLS: No. 1 Common Organizational Maintenance Tool Kit
Torque wrench, 1/2 inch drive
Fixed open end wrench set
Automotive Mechanics Tool Kit
Socket wrench set, 1/2 inch drive
Chain hoist, two ton capacity
Lifting fixture, engine
Transmission jack
MATERIALS/PARTS: Tags (Appendix C, item 3)
Lubricating oil (Appendix C, item 9)
Antifreeze (Appendix C, item 38)
Tie straps (FSCM 53421 PN T50R0W)
PERSONNEL REQUIRED: Two Construction Equipment Mechanics MOS 62B
REFERENCE: TM 5-3805-262-20
NOTE
To aid installation, tag all hoses and electrical leads before dis-
connecting. Cap or plug openings to prevent contamination, and position
electrical leads, cables, and hoses away from engine as you disconnect
them.
(a) Remove engine hoods and side supports (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).
(b) Remove radiator and radiator guard (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).
(c) Disconnect electrical lead from water temperature sending unit (refer to
TM 5-3805-262-20).
(d) Remove heater hoses and clamps from engine (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).
(e) Disconnect accelerator cable and fuel shutoff cable from fuel injection
pump governor; remove bracket with cables from engine (refer to TM
5-3805-262-20).
(f) Disconnect air compressor governor hose from top of air reservoir (refer
to TM 5-3805-262-20).
(g) Disconnect air supply hose from air compressor (refer to TM 5-3805-262-
20) .
