REMOVAL ( SHEET 2 OF 4)
(h) Disconnect alcohol evaporator tubes from air compressor and governor
(refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).
(i) Disconnect fuel supply hose from fuel feed pump, and disconnect fuel
return hose from fuel tank (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).
(j) Disconnect restriction indicator hose from engine (refer to TM 5-3805-
262-20.
(k) Disconnect cables from starter ground terminal (refer to TM 5-3805-
262-20).
(1) Disconnect cables and wire from starter solenoid terminals (refer to TM
5-3805-262-20) .
(m) Disconnect tachometer cable from tachometer drive assembly (refer to TM
5-3805-262-20) .
(n) Disconnect electrical lead from alternator (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).
(o) Disconnect electrical leads from clutch pressure switch (refer to TM
5-3805-262-20).
(p) Disconnect electrical lead from engine oil pressure switch (refer to TM
5-3805-262-20).
(q) Disconnect electrical lead from fuel level sending unit (refer to TM
5-3805-262-20).
(r) Disconnect wiring harness lead from electric fuel pump lead (refer to TM
5-3805-262-20).
(s) Remove clamps and tie straps securing wiring harness to engine (page
3-274). Move wiring harness, cables, and heater hoses away from engine.
(t) Remove exhaust system muffler and pipe (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).
(u) Loosen and remove lock nut, capscrew, and washer from engine mount (page
3-37) .
(v) Disconnect ground lead from heater hose bracket (refer to TM 5-3805-
262-20).
(w) Remove eight capscrews and lock washers from transmission flex plate
and engine flywheel:
