INSPECTION/REPAIR (SHEET 3 OF 6)
(5) Using micrometer, measure exhaust valves (6) diameter at two points as
shown. If valve stem diameter is less than 0.4008 inch or stem tip diame-
ter is less than 0.4018 inch, replace exhaust valve (6).

Position each valve (6 and 9) in vee block holder with dial indicator.
Check valve face and stem runout. Replace valve (6 or 9) if valve face or
stem runout exceeds 0.002 inch.
