INSTALLATION (SHEET 3 OF 3)
(18) Install gaskets (2) and capscrews (1). Tighten capscrews (1).
(19) Slide clamp (4) onto breather tube (7), push breather tube (7) onto
square tube (5), and tighten clamp (4).
(20) Install clamp (6).
(21) Install air cleaner and tubes (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).
(22) Start and run engine for approximately one hour, under load if possible,
to completely warm up engine.
(23) Remove air cleaner and tubes (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20).
(24) Remove square tube and valve covers (page 3-60).
(25) Tighten studs (17) and nuts (16) to 40 to 45 lb-ft.
(26) Adjust valve tappet clearance, hot setting (page 3-6).
(27) Install valve covers (12) and square tube (refer to steps (13) through
(20) above).
NOTE
Refer to TM 5-3805-262-20 for following steps.
(28) Install engine top hood.
(29) Install air cleaner and tubes.
(30) Install engine right and left side hoods.
(31) Install engine panels.
