NOTE
Don’t connect electrical lead (3) to
solenoid (10) terminal. Electrical
lead will be connected to solenoid
after pinion clearance is checked.

Install lock washer and nut
on solenoid MTR terminal.
Tighten nut to 20 to 25
lb-ft .
Check starter drive pinion clearance:
Connect two 12 volt batteries and remote
MTR terminals as shown.
starter switch to solenoid S and
Push in and hold button on remote starter switch. The starter drive as-
sembly will slide into start position, and will remain in start position
until button on remote starter switch is released.
