b. Rear Wiring Harness.
This task covers removal and installation of rear wiring
harness.
TOOLS: No. 1 Common Organizational Maintenance Tool Kit
Knife
Torque wrench, 1/2 inch drive
Combination box and open end wrench set
Screwdriver
Automotive Mechanics Tool Kit
Socket wrench set, 1/2 inch drive
MATERIALS/PARTS: Electrical cleaner (Appendix C, item 44)
Electrical sealer (Appendix C, item 45)
Tie straps (AR) (FSCM 53421 PN T50R0W)
Rear wiring harness (FSCM 10988 PN L112378)

NOTE
PRELIMINARY PROCEDURE: Engine side panels removed (refer to TM
5-3805-262-10) and battery ground cable disconnected (refer to TM
5-3805-262-20).
REMOVAL (SHEET 1 OF 6)
NOTE
If necessary, refer to TM 5-3805-262-20
for steps (1) through (30) below and for
wiring diagram.
When removing nuts, screws, and washers to
disconnect rear wiring harness terminals,
reinstall nuts, screws, and washers on
component from which terminal was
disconnected to prevent loss of these
parts. When removing clamps to free rear
wiring harness for removal, reinstall
clamp and associated hardware in same
location as removed to aid installation of
harness.
(1) Disconnect front wiring harness connec-
tor from rear wiring harness connector.
Do this by pushing connector nut, turn-
ing it counterclockwise, and pulling
firmly.
