This task covers disassembly, cleaning, in- spection, and reassembly of cylinder head and unloader. TOOLS: No. 1 Common Organizational Maintenance Tool Kit Hand hammer, 16 ounces Screwdriver Vise Center punch Safety glasses Torque wrench, 1/2 inch drive Automotive Mechanic’s Tool Kit Socket wrench set, 1/2 inch drive Putty knife Rubber mallet Inside micrometer, zero to 2 inches Outside micrometer, zero to 2 inches Hexagon rod, 9/16 inch MATERIALS/PARTS: Clean cloths (Appendix C, item 1) Cleaning solvent P-D-680 (Appendix C, item 2) Grease (Appendix C, item 7) Lubricating oil (Appendix C, item 9) Silicone lubricant (Appendix C, item 18) Carbon removing compound (Appendix C, item 27) Head repair kit (FSCM 06721 PN RN26DW) Unloader repair kit (FSCM 10988 N7311) Washers, two (FSCM 06721 PN 4X2623) REFERENCE: TM 5-3805-262-20 NOTE PRELIMINARY PROCEDURE: Air compressor assembly removed (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20). DISASSEMBLY (SHEET 1 OF 4) (a) Loosen and disconnect unloader tube (1) from two fittings (2). Remove unloader tube. (b) Remove two fittings (2). (c) Remove air compressor governor (refer to TM 5-3805-262-20). (d) Remove two capscrews (3). (e) Remove unloader (4). (f) Remove and discard two retainers (5), seals (6), disks (7), diaphragms (8), and springs (9) from unloader (4). 3-466
